Johnston Carmichael Wealth There are now six members in the wealth team in Dundee, with employee numbers in the wider Johnston Carmichael regional hub in the city up from three when it opened in 2019 to 40, the firm said in a statement. The hub provides bespoke services to the city’s growing sectors, including technology and life sciences. The team also support businesses from its other key sectors including food and drink, and agriculture, harnessing technology to boost operations and growth. Whitters, who joined the firm recently, will work closely with financial planner Fernie, who has more than 14 years’ experience in financial services. Her specialisms include savings and investments, inheritance tax mitigation and estate planning, pre- and post-retirement planning, and reviewing existing financial planning arrangements. “Lauren and Duncan will strengthen our wider team. Both have impressive backgrounds, know their local markets and are really well connected, which will help us pursue growth across Dundee and the wider area in Perth and Fife,” Craig Hendry, managing director said. Other recent additions to the team in the past year include the appointment of chartered financial planner Martin Hendry to the firm’s Glasgow office, boosting its presence in the Central Belt. In recent years Johnston Carmichael Wealth says it has embraced “industry-leading” technology and practices including a partnership with London-based investment research and consultancy firm Square Mile, to provide additional insight on the funds market and secure the "best possible financial outcomes" for its clients.
Johnston Carmichael Wealth has appointed Lauren Whitters and Duncan Fernie to join the wealth team as financial planners to support the firm’s growth, the firm said in a statement.

GTN, a fintech focused on trading and investing, has appointed former Saxo Bank senior figure Damian Bunce as its Middle East CEO.
Bunce has also worked for IBM, Goldman Sachs and Barclays. At Denmark-headquartered Saxo Bank, he was chief commercial officer.
Recently, Bunce ran the trading business at online market maker Exness; during his 3.5-year tenure, the company developed a new business-to-business capability and broke retail volume records. Subsequently, he assumed the role of chief customer officer.
In his new role, Bunce will lead GTN's strategic initiatives in the Middle East.
GTN employs more than 400 people across Dubai, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, the UK, and the US. It is backed by strategic investors IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, and SBI Ventures Singapore, a group company of Tokyo-listed SBI Holdings.
